Major (Mei)

Major, the ninth child of Alice and Remana was born in 1904. He attended St Stephen’s College in Auckland, attended farm courses and prior to his marriage he owned a taxi in Kawakawa.

Major married Jessie Stewart, an immigrant from Scotland. They had four children.

Waiata
A couple of waiata written for and by Kiwikiwi whanau includes a 2009 waiata by Huia Armstrong and Troy Kingi, aptly named, Te Whanau Kiwikiwi. A second waiata of relevance is by Piripi Cope, of our Cope line, called Ngā Puawai Ō Ngāpuhi.
