Erana the second child of Remana and Arihi was born in 1883 and died in 1918 of influenza. Erana attended Hukarere Māori Girls School in Napier.
Erana married Henry Penney and together they had ten children:

- Edgar, known as Eddie married Maggi Pou.
- Samuel married Ellen Dixon
- Nellie married and took the surname Harris
- Vivienne died as an infant
- Henry Jnr married Jean Collins
- Rangihiroa (1912-1966)
- Harold married Beulah Tiejens, and was raised by Arihi (Alice)
- Ike (Edward Isaac) also raised by Arihi (Alice), married Florence Payne and they had 9 children.
- Elizabeth Penny married Noble Job (Nopera Hopa) and they had 9 children.
